Monday, June 12, 1 p.m., for one-day auction tournament at St. Ann’s Parish, Hope River, 106 St. Patrick’s Rd., (basement). First prize is $100, second prize, $70, third prize, $50 and fourth prize, $30. Admission is $7 per player. Bring a partner. There will be a 50/50, door prizes and a buffet supper. Saturday, June 17, for a bus tour being organized by the Garden Club of P.E.I. to Kingsbrae Garden in St. Andrews, N.B. The cost is $90 for bus, bridge and gardens. For more information, call Deb at 902213-5210.
July 15 for the annual Kelly’s Cross Tea Party and Dance. There will be games including bingo, canteen service as well as meals served, also free afternoon entertainment and a cake auction, followed by a dance in the evening.
Fundraiser
Local area Lions Clubs will hold a Gas A Rama and barbecue fundraiser for cystic fibrosis on Saturday, June 3, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Mel’s Petro Can stations in Charlottetown, East Royalty, Winsloe, Kensington and Summerside, as well as at North River Shell.
Tour
The City of Charlottetown and the Seniors Active Living Centre, Bell Aliant Centre will tour the eastern end of the Island on June 8. Stops include the Belfast Mini Mills and lunch at a place to be announced, a scenic drive around Panmure Island and a visit to the Rossiginol Winery. There are 30 seats on the bus, which will leave at 9 a.m. from the SALC and 9:15 a.m. from Oak Tree. The cost is $30 per person and does not include lunch. Seats are not booked until paid for. Cards/Cribbage/ Crokinole
Coffee club is Mondays and Fridays, 10 a.m., at the Milton Community Hall. Enjoy coffee and conversation. Admission is a donation of coin or sweets.
