Women charged in puppy fraud

TRURO — Two women have been charged after being accused of taking money for puppies they didn’t have available for sale.

The Truro Police Criminal Investigation Division charged Candace Currie, 26, with seven counts of fraud and Leah May Hamilton, 34, with four counts of fraud.

The Truro residents are accused of posting that they had puppies for sale and taking down payments for them when there were no dogs available.
