Following a brief illness, the peaceful passing of David Briar Garbus (Davey G.), age 74 of Caledonia, loving husband to Elva (Richards) Garbus, occurred on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 with his wife and family by his side. Born in Winsted, Connecticu­t, U.S,. he was the son of the late Harry and Beatrice (Maskin)

Garbus and his wife Cassandra; stepson Markus Wiles; brother Steven Garbus; cherished grandchild­ren Ryan and Daniel Garbus; best friend Jerry Wiles father of Markus Wiles. David had a love for music, travelling all over North America and was famous for his bass guitar playing. David will be missed by his family, friends and all who came to know and love him through his wit and music. David served with the U.S. Army, in the Weapons Infantry, receiving his sharpshoot­er Badge and National Defence Service Medal. David received his Honorable Discharge in 1968. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Thursday, June 29th from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral Service to take place on Friday, June 30th at 3 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in the Caledonia Cemetery. The family wishes donations go to the Music Program at Southern Kings Consolidat­ed School. Green Foliage Plants would be appreciate­d in lieu of flowers.
