MACLENNAN, Laurids George

Peacefully, with his loving wife Alma (Howard) by his side, and after a short illness, at the Community Hospital in O’Leary on June 28, 2017 of Laurids George MacLennan, aged 79 years. Children Jason (Kathryn Champion), Jonathan (Katie Brennan), Lindsay and Lorraine (Mark MacKinnon) also shared Daddy’s final moments. Loving Grampy of Gabriel, Hannah and Natalie MacLennan. Survived by brother-in-law Bert Wyman, sister-in-law Jean MacLennan; both of Calgary, brothers and sisters-in-law from the Howard family, many cousins, nieces, nephews and numerous close friends. Predeceased by his parents, Ralph & Adelaide MacLennan, sister Rita Wyman, and brother Clayton. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home in O’Leary with visiting hours Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held at O’Leary United Church on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Interment to follow in Bethel United Church Cemetery surrounded by potato fields in Springfield West. Donations to the O’Leary Community Health Foundation or Bethel Cemetery Fund would be greatly appreciated.
