John Haviland MacDougall

John Haviland MacDougall was born on June 11, 1937 in Charlottet­own. Son of Alice and Alex MacDougall of Lower Prince St. He attended West Kent School; he later went to Toronto for a couple of years. He returned home to the island and joined the city of Ch’town & Ch’town Fire Dept. In 1966 he met and married his wife Barbara and started a family of five children; David, Angel, Wayne, Mark and Sarah; following with 8 grandchild­ren, the joys of his life, along with his companion Maggie Blue. He was promoted into the Fire Station as Engineer, then Chief Engineer of the station. He was a wonderful man who would give a hand to all and had a great sense of humour. In later years, he developed heart problems & strokes and later retired. He had many years to enjoy with his wife, children, family & friends, his sister Cindy & Bobby, brother Wayne & Barb and family. He passed into the arms of God on June 29, 2016.
