Canada Day
The Seniors Active Living Centre in the Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, will be celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday on July 1 from 10 a.m. until noon. Enjoy a performance by the Oak Tree Singers as well as a sing-a-long, bingo and trivia. Cake and ice cream will be served. It is open to the public.
The Miltonvale Park Canada Day celebrations are at the Miltonvale Community Park at 413 Sleepy Hollow Rd., July 1, 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Rain location is Milton Community Hall. Musical entertainment is Bryson Guptill and John McAllar. There will be a flag-raising ceremony and presentation of the Miltonvale Park Volunteer of the Year award, a barbecue, cake and a bouncy castle. Everyone is welcome.
Fundraiser
Tracadie Lions Summer Sunday Brunch is every Sunday, 10-11:30 a.m., with pancakes, sausage, beans, toast, fruits, cheese, jams, tea, coffee, juice and fresh baked goods. The cost is $7 per adult, $4 per child (pre-schoolers free), accepting cash and debit at the door. All proceeds go towards ongoing community support projects. Tracadie Community Centre is on the Station Road, Tracadie Cross.
