Ironic clo­sure of Prov­ince House

Does no one see the irony in the fact that in the very build­ing in which Con­fed­er­a­tion took place was un­avail­able for both tourists and lo­cals to visit on this very spe­cial day, Canada Day, be­cause “it is un­der ren­o­va­tion.” It is not like the ‘talk­ing heads of govern­ment’ knew that July 1st 2017, our 150th birth­day was not com­ing.

Yes, the build­ing needed ren­o­va­tions, but may I add that the tim­ing was ex­quis­ite, right in the mid­dle of the big­gest cel­e­bra­tion for this coun­try. How em­bar­rass­ing for Prince Ed­ward Is­land and Canada.
