Lineup announced for 2017 Concerts in the Garden

Annual event put on by Wyatt Heritage Properties/Culture Summerside

The garden of Wyatt Heritage Properties, 205 Prince St., Summerside, will come alive with the sound of music performed by local musicians on the outdoor stage this summer, Wednesday evenings, July 5 through to Aug. 23.

The style of music varies weekly, but is connected to the roots of the Maritimes. Bring along a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy the concerts, which run 6:30-8:30 p.m. Admission is by donation. During the intermissi­on, ice cream made daily on the premises with rich cream and milk, produced by Prince Edward Island dairy farms, is offered with Island fruit toppings.

First out of the gate will be two performers known as Brett and Zak. These two young musicians have been influenced by artists such as John Mayer, Bill Withers, K-OS, Neil Young, The Beatles, Ray Charles and Frank Sinatra.

Following are the remaining shows: July 12 - Kevin Arthur & The JackTar Band; July 19 – Dunromin; July 26 – Patina; Aug. 2 - On the Road Again; Aug. 9 – Not All There; Aug. 16 – Johnny Oliver; Aug. 23 – The Buchanan Family.
