Lineup an­nounced for 2017 Con­certs in the Gar­den

An­nual event put on by Wy­att Heritage Prop­er­ties/Cul­ture Sum­mer­side

The gar­den of Wy­att Heritage Prop­er­ties, 205 Prince St., Sum­mer­side, will come alive with the sound of mu­sic per­formed by lo­cal mu­si­cians on the out­door stage this sum­mer, Wed­nes­day evenings, July 5 through to Aug. 23.

The style of mu­sic varies weekly, but is con­nected to the roots of the Mar­itimes. Bring along a blan­ket or lawn chair and en­joy the con­certs, which run 6:30-8:30 p.m. Ad­mis­sion is by do­na­tion. Dur­ing the in­ter­mis­sion, ice cream made daily on the premises with rich cream and milk, pro­duced by Prince Ed­ward Is­land dairy farms, is of­fered with Is­land fruit top­pings.

First out of the gate will be two per­form­ers known as Brett and Zak. These two young mu­si­cians have been in­flu­enced by artists such as John Mayer, Bill Withers, K-OS, Neil Young, The Bea­tles, Ray Charles and Frank Si­na­tra.

Fol­low­ing are the re­main­ing shows: July 12 - Kevin Arthur & The Jack­Tar Band; July 19 – Dun­romin; July 26 – Patina; Aug. 2 - On the Road Again; Aug. 9 – Not All There; Aug. 16 – Johnny Oliver; Aug. 23 – The Buchanan Fam­ily.
