The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Saturday, July 1, 2017, of Douglas J. MacLean, of Summerside, aged 70 years. Born in Charlottetown, he was the son of the late Arnold and Areta (Gardiner) MacLean. Survived by his wife Donna (MacLaren) Lyle; her children Carol Lyle, Ellyn Lyle (Dustin MacLeod), Julie (Greg) Compton; grandchildren Tanner and Alex Compton; Dillon Lyle and Erin Lyle; and by brothers Brian and John (Sheila). Resting at the Moase Funeral Home, Summerside, until Wednesday, then to the Lot 16 United Church for funeral service at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the Lot 16 United Church Cemetery. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the P.E.I Humane Society or the Lot 16 United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
