Now that Canada 150 celebrations have come and gone, the country’s national historic sites are also marking a milestone.

Green Gables Heritage Place is hosting a fun-filled day to celebrate 100 years of Canada’s historic sites on Saturday.

The festivities begin with story time in French at 10 a.m., and in English at 10:30 a.m.

From 11 a.m. until 2 p.m., children can participate in My National Historic Site, an arts and crafts activity to draw, colour and share the special places in their lives. There will also be guided talks of the site on the hour — from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in English, and 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in French.

Games and races will take place from 3 to 4 p.m., with ice cream included. Anne herself will also be on site and period costumes will be available for visitors to try on for a photo opportunity.
