The funeral for Eileen Trainor was held on Friday, June 16, 2017 from the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottet­own Funeral Home to St. Pius X Church where the concelebtr­ated funeral mass was offered by Father Gerard Tingley as chief celebrant and homilist. He was assisted by Father Maurice Praught and Father Craig Christenso­n. The funeral pall was placed on Eileen’s casket by Mae Chapman, Ann Perry, Audrey Murphy and Alberta Smith. The paschal candle was lit by Jennifer and Reese Trainor and Alexis Mallett. The gifts were brought to the altar by Mary Blanchard, Anne Cote and Lorraine Jelley. The first reading was proclaimed by granddaugh­ter Emma Hanneman and the second reading was proclaimed by son Paul Trainor. The prayers of intercessi­on were offered by son-in-law Mark Hanneman. Music was provided by Doug and Michelle Mackey and Sheridyth MacNeil. They rendered the entrance hymn, All Who Are Thirsty, the psalm, The Lords My Shepherd. the offertory hymn, Rest In God Alone, the meditation hymn, Lord I Need You, the farewell blessing May The Road Rise and the recessiona­l hymn, Be Not Afraid. The communion hymn, Here I Am Lord was rendered by daughter Mary Hanneman. The pallbearer­s were Luke Hanneman, Colin Smith, Jamie O’Hanley, Joey Murphy, Jason O’Hanley and Ronnie Blanchard. The honorary pallbearer­s were Emmett Murphy, Louis Murphy, Noel McInnis and Rollie McInnis. The interment took place in the Roman Catholic Cemetery where Fr. Tingley held the graveside service.
