The fu­neral for Lynne John­ston was held on Thurs­day, July 6, 2017 from Belvedere Fu­neral Home to Trin­ity United Church where the ser­vice was con­ducted by Rev. Cathie Crooks. Dur­ing the ser­vice con­gre­ga­tional hymns Be Still My Soul and Love Divine All Love’s Ex­celling were led by di­rec­tor and or­gan­ist Don­ald Fraser and the Trin­ity choir, of which Lynne was a life­time mem­ber. Suzanne Camp­bell sang Pa­nis An­geli­cus. Psalm 121 was read by Beryl MacMil­lan. Words of re­mem­brance were shared by Mar­garet Bell and Brenda Ma­tusiewicz. Hon­orary pall­bear­ers were Mar­garet Bell, Brenda Ma­tusiewicz, Barb Phillips, Ch­eryl Richards, Hope Hyn­d­man and Clau­dia DeBlois. In­ter­ment will take place at a later date in Flo­ral Hills Memo­rial Gar­dens. Those at­tend­ing the fu­neral ser­vice in­cluded mem­bers of the Trin­ity UCW, staff and re­tired teach­ers from East Wiltshire In­ter­me­di­ate School and Queen Char­lotte In­ter­me­di­ate School. Fol­low­ing the ser­vice, ev­ery­one was in­vited to join the fam­ily for re­fresh­ments in the church hall.
