The funeral for Lynne Johnston was held on Thursday, July 6, 2017 from Belvedere Funeral Home to Trinity United Church where the service was conducted by Rev. Cathie Crooks. During the service congregational hymns Be Still My Soul and Love Divine All Love’s Excelling were led by director and organist Donald Fraser and the Trinity choir, of which Lynne was a lifetime member. Suzanne Campbell sang Panis Angelicus. Psalm 121 was read by Beryl MacMillan. Words of remembrance were shared by Margaret Bell and Brenda Matusiewicz. Honorary pallbearers were Margaret Bell, Brenda Matusiewicz, Barb Phillips, Cheryl Richards, Hope Hyndman and Claudia DeBlois. Interment will take place at a later date in Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Those attending the funeral service included members of the Trinity UCW, staff and retired teachers from East Wiltshire Intermediate School and Queen Charlotte Intermediate School. Following the service, everyone was invited to join the family for refreshments in the church hall.
