Sunday Night Shenanigans returns July 9
Lester MacPherson and Dino Dunsford to play at York Community Centre
Two of the Island’s most popular and busiest recording artists return to the stage at Sunday Night Shenanigans on July 9.
Lester MacPherson and Dino Dunsford, along with host Judy MacLean, highlight the ceilidh that’s no celebrating 10 years of events in and around Charlottetown.
Sunday Night Shenanigans now takes place at the York Community Centre.
MacPherson has recorded nine albums, including his latest, “Don’t Stop The Music,” which has been successful for the singer who’s known as “P.E.I.’s Country Gentleman.”
For recording artist Dunsford, the summer is his busiest playing season. He has recorded four CDs over the years and has won male vocalist of the year honours at the P.E.I. Music Awards.
Also included on the bill is well-known vocalist Marie MacIntyre, who has recorded a couple of CDs, including her favorite, “Old Gold.” She will be accompanied by guitarist John Hume.
The Morell Fiddlers are back for another lively session that includes singer/songwriter Emmett DeCoursey and keyboardist Marion Pirch.
For stepdancing fans, champion dancer Alice Cheverie represents The Judy MacLean Dancers.
The evening includes light lunch provided by Atlantic Superstore, ADL, P.E.I. Preserve
Company and Buns and Things Bakery.
