Sun­day Night Shenani­gans re­turns July 9

Lester MacPher­son and Dino Dunsford to play at York Com­mu­nity Cen­tre

Two of the Is­land’s most pop­u­lar and busiest record­ing artists re­turn to the stage at Sun­day Night Shenani­gans on July 9.

Lester MacPher­son and Dino Dunsford, along with host Judy Ma­cLean, high­light the ceilidh that’s no cel­e­brat­ing 10 years of events in and around Char­lot­te­town.

Sun­day Night Shenani­gans now takes place at the York Com­mu­nity Cen­tre.

MacPher­son has recorded nine al­bums, in­clud­ing his lat­est, “Don’t Stop The Mu­sic,” which has been suc­cess­ful for the singer who’s known as “P.E.I.’s Coun­try Gen­tle­man.”

For record­ing artist Dunsford, the sum­mer is his busiest play­ing sea­son. He has recorded four CDs over the years and has won male vo­cal­ist of the year honours at the P.E.I. Mu­sic Awards.

Also in­cluded on the bill is well-known vo­cal­ist Marie MacIn­tyre, who has recorded a cou­ple of CDs, in­clud­ing her fa­vorite, “Old Gold.” She will be ac­com­pa­nied by gui­tarist John Hume.

The Morell Fid­dlers are back for an­other lively ses­sion that in­cludes singer/song­writer Em­mett DeCoursey and key­boardist Mar­ion Pirch.

For step­danc­ing fans, cham­pion dancer Alice Chev­erie rep­re­sents The Judy Ma­cLean Dancers.

The evening in­cludes light lunch pro­vided by At­lantic Su­per­store, ADL, P.E.I. Pre­serve

Com­pany and Buns and Things Bakery.
