MOUNT STEWART, P.E.I. The Trailside Café welcomes popular Canadian singer Damhnait Doyle on Monday, July 10.

Doyle, born in Newfoundla­nd and Labrador, has released eight full-length recordings as both a solo artist and a part of award-winning groups Shaye and The Heartbroke­n.

She has toured Canada extensivel­y, opening for legends like Willie Nelson and Steve Earle, and has travelled to both Kabul and Kandahar to perform for Canadian Forces personnel.

Doyle is currently working on her first solo album of original material in 15 years.

“We are really looking forward to having Damhnait play,” said Trailside owner Pat Deighan. “I’ve listened to and watched her play on the music scene for years now and she was definitely someone we wanted to have play the Trailside.”
