Damh­nait Doyle at the Trail­side Café in Mount Ste­wart July 10

MOUNT STE­WART, P.E.I. The Trail­side Café wel­comes pop­u­lar Cana­dian singer Damh­nait Doyle on Mon­day, July 10.

Doyle, born in New­found­land and Labrador, has re­leased eight full-length record­ings as both a solo artist and a part of award-win­ning groups Shaye and The Heart­bro­ken.

She has toured Canada ex­ten­sively, open­ing for leg­ends like Wil­lie Nel­son and Steve Earle, and has trav­elled to both Kabul and Kan­da­har to per­form for Cana­dian Forces per­son­nel.

Doyle is cur­rently work­ing on her first solo al­bum of orig­i­nal ma­te­rial in 15 years.

“We are re­ally look­ing for­ward to hav­ing Damh­nait play,” said Trail­side owner Pat Deighan. “I’ve lis­tened to and watched her play on the mu­sic scene for years now and she was def­i­nitely some­one we wanted to have play the Trail­side.”
