Lady Singers of Our Century perform three times in Stanley Bridge this month

-

STANLEY BRIDGE, P.E.I. Fans of the tribute to the “Lady Singers of our Century” concert, featuring songs by Loretta Lynn, Emmy Lou Harris, Rita MacNeil, Patsy Cline, Linda Rondstad, Tanya Tucker and The MacGuire Sisters, will have three more chances to see the popular show this month.

The first show is set for Sunday, July 9, at the Stanley Bridge Centre and is a fundraiser for the center that was formerly known as the Stanley Bridge United Church.

Because the foundation is deteriorating, the building has to be moved off the present site, then back to the property and put on new foundation.

The second show is Monday, July 17, at Central Queens United Church; and the third performance is Monday, July 31, at the Summerside Presbyterian Church.

Hosts for all three concerts are Judy McGregor and Joan Reeves, also known as Ding and Dong. Joining them will be singer-songwriter Jolee Patkai, gospel singer Keila Glydon and Georgetown native and Rita MacNeil tribute performer Colleen MacPhee.

McGregor and Reeves will pay tribute to Tanya Tucker and The MacGurie Sisters.

All three shows start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the door.
