WHITE, R. Darrell
At home surrounded by his family, R. Darrell White age 94, of Murray Harbour passed away on Friday, July 7, 2017. Loving and devoted husband of 52 years to Carol (Billard) White. Born in Murray Harbour on November 13, 1922, he was a son of the late Roland and Katherine (Singleton) White. Darrell was a Veteran of WW II serving with the Army. He was a Dispatch Driver with the Trois Riviere Regiment, 12th Canadian Armoured Regiment. He served from 1941-1945 in England, France, Belgium, Holland, Germany, Italy and Sicily. He is survived by his children Kathy White (Connie Rose), Karen White (Harry Vanden Broek); brothers Keith White (Clara), Simon White, Byron White, Seaton White; brother-in-law Malcolm Beaton; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sisters and brothers Irene Beaton, Melvin White (Marion), Sadie Tornosky, Russell White, Sybil White, Fred White (Edna) and special niece Susan Harvey. Resting at Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home with visiting on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral Service to be held on Monday July 10 at 4 p.m., from the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in the Murray Harbour Cemetery. Donations to the Southern Kings and Queens Home Care would be appreciated.
