HMCS SUMMERSIDE OPEN FOR TOURS

HMCS Summerside will be alongside at the Port of Summerside until July 18 and will participate in the Lobster Carnival festivities as part of the greater Canada 150 celebrations taking place nationwide. Sailors from the ship will also join sailors from HMCS Queen Charlotte in this year’s Lobster Carnival Parade on July 15.

The ship will be located at the Port of Summerside, 162 Harbourview Dr., and will be open for tours July 15-16, noon to 4 p.m.

HMCS Summerside was one of the vessels deployed for Neptune-Trident 17-01, which is the overarching Royal Canadian Navy deployment to West Africa that includes engagements with West African nations to support joint training and to foster relationships in the Gulf of Guinea region.
