Khadr set­tle­ment pro­vides re­lief

The United Na­tions de­ter­mined that Omar Khadr was a child sol­dier, and de­clared that he was en­ti­tled to pro­tec­tion pro­vided by in­ter­na­tional law.

After Canada’s many years of fail­ure to pro­vide this pro­tec­tion and to en­sure his hu­man rights as a Cana­dian ci­ti­zen, I was deeply re­lieved by the re­cent Cana­dian set­tle­ment with him.
