N.L. man faces attempted murder

PORT AUX BASQUES, N.L.

- A man in Newfoundland faces an attempted murder charge after an apparent stabbing in Port aux Basques. Emergency workers responded to a call about an injured man on Wednesday evening.

Police say the 39-year-old man was sent to hospital with apparent stab wounds and was later released. They say a 54-year-old man from Deer Lake has been charged with attempted murder and is due to appear in court next week.
