P.E.I., New Brunswick soc­cer teams tie 1-1

Prince Ed­ward Is­land’s women’s soc­cer team played to a 1-1 tie Fri­day with their coun­ter­parts from New Brunswick in a matchup of teams pre­par­ing for this sum­mer’s Canada Games. The New Brunswick Premier Women’s Soc­cer League game took place near Monc­ton. Lau­ren Clark scored the Is­land squad’s goal while Adele Arse­nault was the team’s keeper. New Brunswick im­proved to 2-5-1 while P.E.I. im­proved to 1-4-2. The Is­land squad hosts the Fredericton Reds to­day at 3 p.m. at UPEI.
