Jackie Harris honoured
Jackie Harris, centre, is presented with the O’Leary Youth of the Year Award by O’Leary-Inverness MLA Robert Henderson and Miss Potato Blossom Sarah Woodside recently. Harris, the daughter of Dana and Barb Harris, was honoured for giving a helping hand whenever possible. She is also recipient of the Holland College Wanda Wyatt scholarship for volunteer work and an Alan Barbour music award and her volunteer resume includes academic peer helper, catechism teacher, a Try Hockey volunteer from 2011 to present, A Western Sports Council elementary intramural instructor, teen encounter volunteer since 2015, mentor to young hockey officials, a Hockeyville helper and an assistant with hockey camp training.
