Win­ners crowned at Char­lot­te­town race week

Char­lot­te­town boats won three of four sail­ing ti­tles in re­cent Char­lot­te­town race week events hosted by the Char­lot­te­town Yacht Club.

An­drew Rankin, skip­per­ing Ardezen, won the J-70 class, Peter Toombs aboard Tan­g­ley took the PHRF spin­naker A class and Tim Cook’s Phoenix earned the PHRF spin­naker B ti­tle.

Jim Ma­son of Fall River, N.S., pi­loted Sat­is­fac­tion to the J-29 crown.

Randy John­son and Ja­son Aspin of Char­lot­te­town fin­ished sec­ond and third in J-29, re­spec­tively.

Graeme Carr of Char­lot­te­town and Kim Gib­son of Fred­er­ic­ton, N.B., placed sec­ond and third, re­spec­tively, in J-70 rac­ing.

John Ste­wart of Strat­ford was sec­ond in spin­naker A rac­ing, fol­lowed by Char­lot­te­town’s John Rankin in third.

In spin­naker B ac­tion, Basil Dick­son of Char­lot­te­town was sec­ond and Si­mon Pick­les, also of Char­lot­te­town, placed third.
