Winners crowned at Charlottet­own race week

Charlottet­own boats won three of four sailing titles in recent Charlottet­own race week events hosted by the Charlottet­own Yacht Club.

Andrew Rankin, skippering Ardezen, won the J-70 class, Peter Toombs aboard Tangley took the PHRF spinnaker A class and Tim Cook’s Phoenix earned the PHRF spinnaker B title.

Jim Mason of Fall River, N.S., piloted Satisfacti­on to the J-29 crown.

Randy Johnson and Jason Aspin of Charlottet­own finished second and third in J-29, respective­ly.

Graeme Carr of Charlottet­own and Kim Gibson of Fredericto­n, N.B., placed second and third, respective­ly, in J-70 racing.

John Stewart of Stratford was second in spinnaker A racing, followed by Charlottet­own’s John Rankin in third.

In spinnaker B action, Basil Dickson of Charlottet­own was second and Simon Pickles, also of Charlottet­own, placed third.
