Come and enjoy the sweet taste of summer
Winnie MacArthur, left, Serita Newman and Janice McAlduff display some delicious local berries picked for the strawberry social to be held at West River United Church Hall, 9 Cornwall Rd., on Wednesday, July 26, 4:30-6:30 p.m. All are invited to join the wonderful tradition of neighbours and visitors getting together to enjoy delicious sandwiches, sweets, tea, coffee or lemonade as well as local strawberries and ice cream. There will also be a bake table with home-cooked goodies for sale. Tickets - $4 for children under 12 and $10 for everyone else - are at the door or can be reserved by calling the church office at 902-566-4052, Newman at 902-566-3252 or MacArthur at 902-675-2462.
