Chaisson Trio will be on stage

-

On Friday, the Ceilidh at the Irish Hall welcomes back the Chaisson Trio that consists of Kevin Chaisson – keyboard and vocals and Louise Chaisson MacKinnon – guitar and vocals, both members of the legendary Chaisson Family of Bear River.

The group’s featured fiddler is Rannie MacLellan from South West Margaree, Cape Breton, who now lives on the Island. The group’s offerings include medleys of Scottish and Irish jigs and reels, beautiful strathspeys, and lovely slow airs, mixed with traditional ballads featuring Louise’s beautiful voice.

For the best in Irish, Scottish, and Maritime traditional music plan to attend this ceilidh. There will be a 50/50 draw during the evening and a light lunch is served during the intermission.

The ceilidh takes place at the Irish Cultural Centre, 582 North River Road in Charlottetown. Doors open at 7, show starts at 8. Admission price is $12 at the door. Children twelve and under remain at $5. Everyone is welcome. For more information call 566-3273.
