Islander honoured
P.E.I.’s Mary Smith, a well-known Island performer, displays the Tara Lynne Touesnard Memorial Award she received recently from the Maritime Fiddlers Association for her dedication to old time fiddling, concern for community affairs and willingness to share her talents. The award, founded in February 1995, is given annually in memory of the young fiddler dedicated to old time fiddling who possessed a concern of community affairs and a willingness to share her talents.
