No great mis­chief cap­tures fea­ture; Fred­die vic­to­ri­ous in open trot at CDP

Thurs­day night was déjà vu for No­great­mis­chief.

He vis­ited the win­ner’s cir­cle for the sec­ond week straight in the Thurs­day night fea­ture at Red Shores Race­track and Casino at the Char­lot­te­town Driv­ing Park.

Wal­ter Chev­erie was in the bike be­hind the six-year-old son of Bet­tors De­light as he scored a 1:56.1 vic­tory in the $2,100 Thurs­day evening fea­tured pace over Star­cas­tic (Gilles Bar­rieau) and Nar­ra­gansett (Ja­son Hughes). Chev­erie co-owns No­great­mis­chief with John Thomp­son of Char­lot­te­town.

Open trot

In open trot ac­tion, Fred­die was vic­to­ri­ous in his on­go­ing ri­valry with Os­prey Im­pact. The Marc Camp­bell-driven Fred­die cap­tured this week’s $1,850 edi­tion of the open trot for owner Three Wise­men Sta­ble of Kingston.

Os­prey Im­pact (Chev­erie) was sec­ond, with Holy Molie Mag­gie (Bar­rieau) com­plet­ing the tri­ac­tor.

Scoot Out Of Here won the Joy and Don Spence 55th wed­ding an­niver­sary pace in 1:58.2 as the sec­ond part of a Camp­bell driv­ing dou­ble. Vaughan Doyle trains the mare for owner Darla Jay of Char­lot­te­town.

The com­bi­na­tion of driver Merner and trainer Ken­neth Wilkie dou­bled up on the pro­gram as Re­gal Party Girl (2:02) and Anzula (2:01.2) both vis­ited the win­ner’s cir­cle.

Live rac­ing con­tin­ues at Red Shores Char­lot­te­town on Satur­day. The first-race post time is set for 6 p.m.

The to­tal wa­ger was $38,385.
