Dog owners invited to celebrate the Great Trail
Special event to be held on afternoon of Aug. 26 in Charlottetown section
“We hear from our residents a lot that they would like to see more events inclusive of pets as they are part of their families. We hope everyone will join us in this celebration.” Coun. Mike Duffy
Charlottetown residents and their pets can help celebrate the Great Trail during an event in August.
Dog Day of Summer is a free Canada 150 event that will take place along the Confederation Trail, P.E.I.’s portion of the Great Trail.

Park.
The celebration will continue at the park with a healthy barbecue, live music, face-painting, InstaBooth pup portraits and ending at Orlebar dog treat bags.
“We hear from our residents a lot that they would like to see more events inclusive of pets as they are part of their families,” said Coun. Mike Duffy. “We hope everyone will this celebration.”
Everyone is welcome to attend. All dog owners are asked to keep their pet on a leash and to clean up after their fourlegged friends. Pre-registration is required and available online at: https://citycharlottetown.wufoo.eu/forms/z1q6m5w1b3n3g9/.
The Trans-Canada Trail and join us in Canadian Heritage have a goal to connect the Great Trail and the country for a grand celebration on Aug. 26. Communities across Canada will be celebrating the full connection of trail and Canada’s 150th on the same date.
