Mont-Carmel Sum­mer Con­cert Se­ries

The Mont-Carmel Sum­mer Con­cert Se­ries is in full swing for the 2017 sea­son with shows ev­ery Sun­day night un­til Aug. 27.

Tak­ing the stage at the Mon­tCarmel Par­ish Hall on July 30, 7 p.m. are Kaylee Arse­nault, Jonathan Arse­nault, Krys­ten Cameron and her sis­ter, Kendall Paugh, Al­bert and Mona Arse­nault, Jill Chan­dler, Louise Arse­nault and the Joe Nar­cisse Fam­ily.

There will also be step-danc­ing by Alexan­dra Mitchell and Ly­dia Arse­nault as well as Monique Gal­lant and her daugh­ter, Krys­ten Cameron.

Orig­i­nally from the Évangé­line area, Kaylee Arse­nault has been step-danc­ing and singing for nu­mer­ous years. Re­cently, she took on the role of step dancer in “L’Acadie, un pays qui se raconte”, which was pre­sented all over France. Ex­tremely proud of her Aca­dian roots she is ex­plor­ing her pas­sion in mu­sic and will per­form a few songs ac­com­pa­nied by Jonathan Arse­nault.

Cameron and Paugh, sis­ters who re­side in Summerside, love to sing and over the years have per­formed on nu­mer­ous stages. They will also be ac­com­pa­nied by Arse­nault.

The trio of Al­bert, Mona and Louise Arse­nault will per­form a se­ries of con­tem­po­rary songs.

Chan­dler is a singer-songwriter from Strat­ford, who is cur­rently work­ing on her first al­bum at The Sound Mill Stu­dio. Her songs come from a place of love and loss and her catchy melodies and po­etic lyrics take the lis­tener on her jour­ney. In ad­di­tion to be­ing a mother to three chil­dren, Chan­dler runs a busi­ness and is the di­rec­tor of Play­ing with Choir.

Renowned fid­dler Louise Arse­nault will be ac­com­pa­nied by other Joe Nar­cisse fam­ily mem­bers. This for­mer mem­ber of Bara­chois and Gadelle is known both at the na­tional and in­ter­na­tional lev­els and is no stranger in the artis­tic com­mu­nity of Prince Ed­ward Is­land. She will also play for the step dancers.

The hall is at 5786 Route 11, Mont-Carmel. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Seat­ing is lim­ited. There will be 50/50 tick­ets and a can­teen. Ad­mis­sion is $12 for adults, $10 for mem­bers of the co-op­er­a­tive, $5 for stu­dents and free for preschool­ers. The 2017 lineup at­op­er­a­tivecul­turellede­mont­carmel. com.
