Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series
The Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series is in full swing for the 2017 season with shows every Sunday night until Aug. 27.
Taking the stage at the MontCarmel Parish Hall on July 30, 7 p.m. are Kaylee Arsenault, Jonathan Arsenault, Krysten Cameron and her sister, Kendall Paugh, Albert and Mona Arsenault, Jill Chandler, Louise Arsenault and the Joe Narcisse Family.
There will also be step-dancing by Alexandra Mitchell and Lydia Arsenault as well as Monique Gallant and her daughter, Krysten Cameron.
Originally from the Évangéline area, Kaylee Arsenault has been step-dancing and singing for numerous years. Recently, she took on the role of step dancer in “L’Acadie, un pays qui se raconte”, which was presented all over France. Extremely proud of her Acadian roots she is exploring her passion in music and will perform a few songs accompanied by Jonathan Arsenault.
Cameron and Paugh, sisters who reside in Summerside, love to sing and over the years have performed on numerous stages. They will also be accompanied by Arsenault.
The trio of Albert, Mona and Louise Arsenault will perform a series of contemporary songs.
Chandler is a singer-songwriter from Stratford, who is currently working on her first album at The Sound Mill Studio. Her songs come from a place of love and loss and her catchy melodies and poetic lyrics take the listener on her journey. In addition to being a mother to three children, Chandler runs a business and is the director of Playing with Choir.
Renowned fiddler Louise Arsenault will be accompanied by other Joe Narcisse family members. This former member of Barachois and Gadelle is known both at the national and international levels and is no stranger in the artistic community of Prince Edward Island. She will also play for the step dancers.
The hall is at 5786 Route 11, Mont-Carmel. Doors open at 6:15 p.m. Seating is limited. There will be 50/50 tickets and a canteen.
