Work con­tin­ues on Corn­wall by­pass

Con­struc­tion will con­tinue over the next week on the Trans-Canada high­way ex­ten­sion in Corn­wall.

Two lanes of traf­fic will be main­tained dur­ing the morn­ing and evening com­mutes, east­bound from 7:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. and west­bound from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Work for this week in­cludes paving the ac­tive trans­porta­tion trail, land­scap­ing and hy­droseed­ing, in­stalling guardrail and paint­ing and in­stalling pave­ment mark­ings.

Driv­ers are ad­vised to watch for di­rec­tional signs as th­ese signs will change from time to time through­out the con­struc­tion pe­riod.

Driv­ers are also asked to be alert and aware for the safety of work­ers, pedes­tri­ans and their fel­low mo­torists. The Depart­ment of Trans­porta­tion ap­pre­ci­ates the pa­tience of the trav­el­ing pub­lic dur­ing de­lays caused by con­struc­tion.
