Work continues on Cornwall bypass

Construction will continue over the next week on the Trans-Canada highway extension in Cornwall.

Two lanes of traffic will be maintained during the morning and evening commutes, eastbound from 7:30 p.m. to 9 a.m. and westbound from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Work for this week includes paving the active transportation trail, landscaping and hydroseeding, installing guardrail and painting and installing pavement markings.

Drivers are advised to watch for directional signs as these signs will change from time to time throughout the construction period.

Drivers are also asked to be alert and aware for the safety of workers, pedestrians and their fellow motorists. The Department of Transportation appreciates the patience of the traveling public during delays caused by construction.
