The open­ing for the “Light­house Boys” ex­hibit at the Wood Is­lands Light is Wed­nes­day, Aug. 2, 10:30 a.m. The in­stal­la­tion fea­tures life-sized fig­ures of Don­ald, Wil­lie, Neilie and Archie, sons of James MacMil­lan, the light­house keeper from 1883. Cre­ated by artist Wendy Jones, as­sisted by car­pen­ter James Cook, the project was funded by a Com­mu­nity Mu­se­ums grant. For more in­for­ma­tion, call 902962-3110

Scrab­ble is be­ing played at the Se­niors Ac­tive Liv­ing Cen­tre, Bell Aliant Cen­tre, UPEI, on Wed­nes­days, 1 p.m.

Auc­tion/45s is at the Jack Blan­chard Fam­ily Cen­tre, Char­lot­te­town, Wed­nes­days 1:30 p.m. Ad­mis­sion is $2. There will also be a 50/50 draw.

Card par­ties (45s) are in St. Teresa’s in the church ac­tiv­ity room, Wed­nes­days, 7:30 p.m. The game is be­ing played as sin­gles, so a part­ner is not nec­es­sary. There is a 50/50 draw, and a light lunch.

St. Pius X Church Knights of Colum­bus crib­bage is Wed­nes­days, 7:30 p.m., in the base­ment of St. Pius X Church, St. Peter’s Road, Char­lot­te­town, with prize, a loonie pot and a 50/50 draw. Bring a part­ner. Cost: $5 per per­son.

Eastern P.E.I. Shuf­fle­board Club meets Wed­nes­days at 7 p.m. in the Well­ness Cen­tre, Wood Is­lands Hill, Mon­tague. New mem­bers of all ages are wel­come. Equip­ment is pro­vided and a les­son.
