Sun aware­ness makes sense

Me­lanoma skin cancer survivor Mar­lene Cormier, 72, of Strat­ford holds up a string of pho­tos that il­lus­trate the po­ten­tial harm­ful ef­fects of sun ex­po­sure to the skin. The photo on the left shows her to­day. Us­ing com­puter soft­ware called AprilAge, the mid­dle photo de­picts her face hav­ing aged nat­u­rally while the photo on the right de­picts her face hav­ing aged with sun dam­age. The Cana­dian Cancer So­ci­ety launched its new sun safety fea­ture – a UV photo booth – re­cently on Vic­to­ria Row.
