The auditor general’s office is hiring.

An employment ad was recently placed in local newspapers, advertisin­g a full-time excluded position for an auditor within the auditor general’s office.

P.E.I.’s auditor general Jane MacAdam says this is not a new position, but rather is filling an upcoming vacancy due to a current auditor who is leaving for other opportunit­ies.

MacAdam also confirmed she is not the auditor vacating their job within the office.

The job pays $35.98 $44.97 per hour, 75 hours

The successful candidate will be responsibl­e for conducting financial audits and/or assisting on value-for-money audits in the public sector under the supervisio­n of senior audit staff.

Closing date for applicatio­ns is Aug. 11 at 4 p.m. to biweekly.
