Anne Lil­lian Burhoe (Weir) at the Dr. John Gillis Memo­rial Lodge on Mon­day, July 31, 2019 in her 103rd year. Anne was born in Leth­bridge, Al­berta on Jan­uary 31, 1915 to John Weir and Cather­ine Qua. At the age of four moved with her mother and sib­lings to Scotch­fort, P.E.I. She grad­u­ated from the PEI Hos­pi­tal School of Nurs­ing in 1938. Dear mother of Bar­rie (Shirley) and John. Gran­nie to Lisa and Karen (Colin McAl­lis­ter), Moira Burhoe (Jerry MacDon­nell) and Michelle Burhoe (Trevor Las­saline). Great grandmother to El­lie, Adaira, Court­ney, Rory and Ben­nett. Lov­ingly re­mem­bered by Maggi. Pre­de­ceased by her lov­ing hus­band Syd, in­fant grand­son An­drew, sis­ters May Weir, Is­abel Shep­herd and brother John Weir. Anne and her hus­band Syd were ac­tive in First Bap­tist Church, Charlottetown for many years. Anne was an ac­tive mem­ber well into her 90’s. Anne sang in the choir, taught Sun­day School, and played the pi­ano for Sun­day School and other church func­tions. She was a mem­ber of the El­iz­a­beth group and was once mod­er­a­tor of the Church Board. As a ded­i­cated stu­dent of the Bi­ble, she led her group of friends in a weekly Bi­ble study.
