Peakes Tee tops Morell Che­vies in KCBL play

The Peakes Tee Bombers broke open a tight 3-2 game with four runs in the fourth in­ning as they went on to de­feat the Morell Che­vies 7-3 in Kings County Base­ball League ac­tion Wed­nes­day.

Rob Phelan went the dis­tance for the Bombers, strik­ing out four in the win.

Top bat­ters for the Bombers were Mitch Power and Con­nor My­ers, both 2-for-4 with two RBI, and Luke MacDon­ald 2-for4 with an RBI.

Morell was led at the plate by Scott Harper and Mike Ellsworth, both 3-for-4 at the plate. Tay­lor Lark­ing was tagged with the loss.

Clip­pers 11, Jays 2

The Cardi­gan Clip­pers jumped out to an early 7-0 first-in­ning lead and cruised to a 11-2 vic­tory on Wed­nes­day evening in KCBL play.

Win­ning pitcher Kevin MacLeod scat­tered seven hits, strik­ing out seven bat­ters in the seven-in­ning per­for­mance. Den­ver Mor­ri­son was 3-for-4 for the Clip­pers with a bases loaded three-RBI triple.

Ben Doucette was 3-for-3 with three RBI and MacLeod was 2-for-4 with an RBI.

Cardi­gan had 13 hits off Chad Mackay who suf­fered the loss for the Jays.

Top bat­ter for the Jays was Kris O’Brien who was 2-for-2 with a run scored.

Ex­pos 12, Strat­ford 10

Tyler John­son went the dis­tance, strik­ing out three bat­ters, as the Ac­tion Aero Ex­pos de­feated the Al­ley Strat­ford 12-10 in KCBL play Wed­nes­day night.

Ste­vie Collins suf­fered the loss while strik­ing out eight bat­ters.

Top bat­ters for the Ex­pos were Damien La­lande with two sin­gles a triple and three RBI and Duff MacDon­ald with a pair of hits, three walks and two RBI.

The top bat­ter for Strat­ford was Ryne MacIs­sac with a sin­gle, dou­ble and a triple.
