The an­nual memo­rial ser­vice of the South Granville Church and ceme­tery is Aug. 13, 2 p.m. Rev. Karen MacRae will con­duct the ser­vice with special mu­sic by the Breadal­bane Cen­tral Trin­ity Choir. Light re­fresh­ments will follow. Call 902-628-8412.

Brook­field Ceme­tery will hold its an­nual ceme­tery ser­vice onAug. 13, 7 p.m., at the Brook­field church. Guest speaker will be Rev. Gor­don Math­e­son. Kelsie MacIn­tyre will pro­vide mu­si­cal se­lec­tions. Pro­ceeds go to the up­keep of the ceme­tery. A light lunch will be served af­ter the ser­vice.


Tra­cadie Li­ons Summer Sun­day Brunch is ev­ery Sun­day through to Aug. 27, 10-11:30 a.m., with pan­cakes, sausage, beans, toast, fruits, cheese, jams, tea, cof­fee, juice and fresh baked goods. The cost is $7 per adult, $4 per child (pre-school­ers free), ac­cept­ing cash and debit at the door. All pro­ceeds go to­wards on­go­ing com­mu­nity sup­port projects. Tra­cadie Com­mu­nity Centre is on the Sta­tion Road, Tra­cadie Cross.
