Walk organizers seeking support

-

In the U.S., millions of people are now speaking out against racism, hatred and violence. Famed filmmaker Michael Moore says, “Anyone who voted for Trump and still supports him is also a racist. If a supporter does not speak out against this violence and still says they support Trump, they are racists by association and are enabling such acts of hatred and violence.”

Now let us look at P.E.I. and the situation with the sexual abuse of children.

Anyone who was abused or knows someone who was abused and does not speak out against such a heinous crime is enabling such acts.

After my story came out in the papers, I had numerous women open up to me about their childhood experiences.

There is a whole generation of women who experienced abuse and they have never spoken out about it, have never gotten therapeutic help and most have never gotten justice.

On August 26th, the group Turn on the Lights is organizing a walk to help raise awareness on childhood sexual abuse, to heal those who have experienced it, and to remember those who are still living in the dark.”

Yes, children are still being abused today and the only way to stop this is for people to speak out.

If you feel strongly about protecting children against such a damaging crime then please show your support by coming to this amazing walk.

You can get more information on the walk on their Facebook page, Turn on the Lights.
