Peacefully, surrounded by his family at the Garden Home on Sunday, August 20, 2017 of Charles Vincent “Vince” Grant of Charlottet­own, Veteran of WW II in his

99th year.

Born in St. Patrick’s Rd.,

Peakes Station he is the son of the late Charles and Jane (MacDonald) Grant. He is survived by his son Donald (Linda) Grant and his daughter Jeannene (Byron) Ferguson; 5 grandchild­ren, Vincent (Estee) Grant, Donna (Joslin) Greene, Melanie (Keenan) Tameling, David Grant, Michelle (Troy) Thompson; 14 great grandchild­ren, Everett, Maelle, Callum, Jaden, Taya, Payton, Alivia, Noah, Emma, Kyle, Kayla, and Ava, Lily and Ella. He was predecease­d by his wife Juanita (Tolman) and daughter Judith Anne Grant; 8 siblings, Joseph Grant, Mary Bercovitz, Thomas Grant, Donald Grant, Margaret Klim, Alexander Grant, Irene Raymond, Dorothy Helen Crawford and one sibling in infancy. Resting at the Hennessey Cutcliffe Charlottet­own Funeral Home until Friday morning, then transferre­d to St. Pius X Church for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment will follow in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottet­own. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Charlottet­own Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a Veterans Tribute Service at the funeral home on Thursday at 3:45 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the QEH Foundation, PEI Lung Associatio­n or a charity of choice would be appreciate­d.
