Collecting bottles for brain injury

-

The Brain Injury Association of P.E.I.’s second annual Bottles for Brain Injury is going on now.

The organization is partnering with the following bottle exchanges: Highland Bottle Exchange and Don’s Bottle Exchange in Summerside; Trailside Bottle Exchange in Kensington; Bertha’s Bottle Exchange in Tignish and Bloomfield; Charlottetown Bottle Exchange, A& S Bottle Exchange and Aubrey’s Bottle Exchange in Charlottetown; Pineau’s Bottle Exchange in North Rustico, Eastern Feed & Service in Souris; and the Cashin Depot in Cardigan.

Participants can take their empties to any of these outlets and inform the staff there the proceeds are to go to the Brain Injury Association. The donor will be asked to initial for the deposit and the amount of the refund will be credited to the association.

The proceeds from this bottle drive will help in many ways, from administrative costs to education and creating a support network for brain injury survivors.

If anyone has bottles to donate but is unable to get them to the bottle exchange, call 902314-4228 and arrangements will be made to pick them up.

The Brain Injury Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to promote and contribute to an environment in P.E.I. that is both responsive to the needs of people affected by a brain injury, and which promotes brain injury prevention.

The organization also contributes to the wellbeing of brain injury survivors and families.
