COFFIN, Stanley Howard

October 1, 1932 - August 28, 2017

Surrounded by his loving family, Stanley Coffin passed peacefully at the Souris Hospital on August 28 2017 in his 85th year. Stanley will be sorely missed and is survived by his devoted wife, Lorraine and his children James (Charlotte), Carol (Myles) Rose, Allan (Diane Keefe), Bill (Mary) and Erma (Ryan Drummond). He will also be missed by his grandchildren Adam, April (Darren), Andrew (Kendra), Cody (Nelly) Sydney, Gabriella, Jeff and Christa, as well as his great grandchildren Madison, Colby, Aiden, Hailey,Leah, Gracie, Noah, Ben, Jenna, Emma and Will. Stanley was also fortunate to have many wonderful brothers and sisters. He is survived by brothers Preston (Vi), Sheldon (Doreen), Weston (Kay) and sisters Clara (Roy) Swayzey, Margaret (Joe) Gillis, Eileen (Buddy - deceased) Sweeney,Birdie (Sheldon) Rose and sister-inlaw Mary. Stanley was predeceased by his parents Percy and Louise, brothers Winslow, Billy, Stuart, Lee (Edith), Kenny, sister Elsie (Blake) Garner and sister-in-law Jean. Lorraine and her family would like to thank all their friends for their kindness and support, the staff at Robin’s Doughnuts for the tea sent with love and the great nurses and staff at the Souris hospital for their excellent care. A very special thanks goes to Dr. Paul Berrow for his quick wit and loving compassion for Dad. There will be no visitation by personal request as his body has been donated to medical science.
