The death oc­curred peace­fully at the Queen El­iz­a­beth Hospi­tal, sur­rounded by her lov­ing fam­ily on Wed­nes­day, Au­gust 30, 2017 of Shirley Anne Hen­nessey of Char­lot­te­town in her 80th year. She was the daugh­ter of the late Henry and Elsie (Gau­thier) Loughran. Sur­vived by her chil­dren Bobby(Rita), Karen Roche (Terry), Kenny (Suzanne) and Scott. Spe­cial Grand­mother of Jen­nifer Flem­ming (Craig), Mal­lory Mac­Don­ald (Drew), An­drea Hen­nessey, Pa­trick Roach (Chris­tine), Anna Orts (Mike) and Martin Roach. Great Grand­mother of Johnathan, Christo­pher, Kayleigh Anne, Char­lie, Sa­van­nah, and Vic­to­ria Anne. Pre­de­ceased by her hus­band Earl Hen­nessey and spe­cial friend David Pol­ley, daugh­ter Donna Mac­Don­ald, daugh­ter-in-law Dar­lene Hen­nessey, and grand­daugh­ter Ja­clyn Hen­nessey. Sur­vived by sis­ters Rita Reid, Edna Frizzel, Louise Howatt, Yvonne Mor­rell, June Bren­nan, Betty Matthews (David), and sis­ter-in-law Chris Easter (Leith). Pre­de­ceased by brothers Al­bert and Wil­liam Loughran, brothers-in-law Al­bert Reid, Fred­die Frizzel, Tommy Howatt and Bill Morell. Also missed by many nieces and neph­ews. Rest­ing at the Hen­nessey Cut­cliffe Char­lot­te­town Funeral Home with funeral mass to be cel­e­brated at St. Pius X Church on Satur­day, Septem­ber 2nd at 10 a.m. In­ter­ment will fol­low in the Ro­man Catholic Ceme­tery. Vis­it­ing hours will be held Fri­day, Septem­ber 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. If so de­sired me­mo­rial con­tri­bu­tions may be made to the Home Care Pal­lia­tive Care Pro­gram or the Queen El­iz­a­beth Hospi­tal.
