The Seniors College of P.E.I. will feature a revamped course schedule, easier online registration and special events to mark its 20th anniversary.

Georgina Clow, president of the college, said the college has spent the past few months changing out a fifth of their courses.

The new streamlined online registration system went active today.

“And we’ve paid particular attention to adapt our courses to what Island seniors tell us they need — more variety and flexibility, to fit in to their active lives,’’ Clow said.

The college offers more than 100 courses spread over all three of the Island’s counties, ranging from computers, hiking and yoga to art, history and writing. The college has also more than doubled its short courses so active seniors can participate on a timeline that fits their schedules.

Courses begin in the first week of October. Registration for individual courses is online and is already underway.

In-person registration sessions are scheduled to follow in Charlottetown, Summerside and Montague. Locations and times are available on the college’s website or the Facebook page (Seniors College of P.E.I.).
