The death occurred peacefully, at the Provincial Palliative Care Centre, Charlottet­own, on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, of Allan Pound, loving husband and best friend of Betty Pound (nee Smith), of New Glasgow, aged 59 years. He was the loving and heroic Dad of Chris (Christy), Darryl (Andrea),

Daddy’s little girl, Tay and chosen son, Brian Cochrane; and grandfathe­r of Peyton, Eric, Alison, Olivia, Preston, Addie and Lily. He is also survived by his mother, Iona Pound (nee Keating); father and motherin-law, Tony and Marie Smith; sisters and brother, Debby Lambe (Andy), Millie Cross (Kelly), RaeonaPoun­d-Mailloux , Jamie (Mary), Janet Pound (Craig Broome); and sisters-inlaw, Theresa Aucoin (Harold), Donna Doiron (Carl), Della Green (Lloyd), Trish Doiron (Vernon) and Carol Peters (Gordon); and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Allan was predecease­d by his father, Reagh Pound; sister, Elizabeth Coady; brothers-in-law, Kevin Coady and Claude Mailloux; nephews, Jeffery Lambe, David Lambe and Brandon Doiron.

Resting at Central Queens United Church, Hunter River,

for visitation on Friday, September 22, 2017 from 1 - 4 and 6 - 9 p.m. A Lions service will be held at 12:30 p.m. prior to the visitation. Funeral will be held at Central Queens United Church, Hunter River, on Saturday, September 23, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Pleasant Valley Memorial Cemetery. If so desired, donations in Allan’s memory to the Palliative Care Home Care Program or the QEH Foundation would be appreciate­d.
