Pigskin picks

The NFL heads into Week 3 and now football followers realize why I have always suggested watch the first two weeks before making any wagers. Clubs like New England, Seattle, Dallas and Green Bay have looked great and next week horrible. Right now, Denver is by far the best choice to win the Super Bowl and young Broncos QB Trevor Siemian is very resourceful and can be trouble out of the pocket. Let’s look at these four games:

Denver Broncos at Buffalo Bills – The Broncos are 2-0 and Buffalo should be except for a dropped pass near the goal-line versus Carolina, but they’re 1-1. The Bills are tough but Denver is the best team in the league and the spread is just three points. The Broncos can cover.

Kansas City Chiefs at L.A. Chargers – A missed field goal cost the Chargers the victory Sunday. The Chargers have lost eight of their last 10 games decided by a field goal or less. They are three-point dogs at home, gotta bet KC here.

Pittsburgh Steelers at Chicago Bears – The Steelers, who beat the Vikings without Sam Bradford, aren’t that great. The Bears turned the ball over four times last week, no wonder the Steelers are seven-point road favorites. Take the Steelers.

Seattle Seahawks at Tennessee Titans – The Seahawks were very fortunate in a late win at San Francisco. QB Russell Wilson was running for his life against the 49ers as there’s no offensive line and hence no offence. The Titans Marcus Mariota is one of the league’s best QBs and he has lots of weapons. The Seahawks only have Wilson. Bet Tennessee straight up on the money line.
