Surrounded by the love of family armed with the confidence of faith, Kenneth Francis Dunn, affectiona­tely known as “Trixie” of Morell was called to “bring it on home” on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Left on the bench is his co-coach and saintly wife of 52 years, Sharon, (nee Murphy) as well as the players on Team Dunn: Patty (Peter) van Diepen, Greg (NoraLynn), Lefty (Edith), Tracey (Mike) Smith, Jennifer (Brent) Doxtater, Chris (Sara MacLeod), Rosie Quinn, DJ (Jenny) and Jonathan (Jovanna Maclean). Cherished son of the late Frank and Eileen Dunn. In a league all of their own, the original home team “his siblings”; Sr. Gemma, Cletus (Linda), Colette (Paul-deceased) Hatton, Andrea (Gerald) McCarthy, Patrice (Donald) MacDonald, Helene (Kerry) Moore and Francie (Doug) MacDougall. Cheered on by his #1 fans in the bleachers, “the in-laws”; deceased parents-in-law, Merrill and Helen Murphy, Doreen (Norman-deceased) Doyle, Elaine (Tom) Trainor, Blair-deceased, Paula (Gary) Drake, Linda (Wayne ) Beaton, Patsy (Blair) MacKinnon, Joseph (Georgie), Arnold-deceased (Jean), John (Elizabeth), and Rose (Blaine) Cheverie. Survived by avid supporters; his aunts; Leah Hogan and Marie Thompson, and his special uncle, the heavy hitter, Francis “Junior” O’Brien. Trixie was himself a lifelong fan of 21 grandchild­ren and 1 precious great-grandchild. Entrusted in the capable hands of his beloved North Shore Funeral co-op whom he has requested donations in lieu of flowers. Visitation Monday, September 25 at St. Theresa, The Little Flower Roman Catholic Church, Morell, from 1-3 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Tuesday, September 26 at the church at 2 p.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
