NOONAN, Annie (nee Sherry)

The funeral for Annie Noonan (nee Sherry) of Charlottetown and formerly of Albany, wife of the late Ellsworth Noonan was held on Saturday, September 30, 2017 where funeral mass was celebrated at St. Peter’s Church, Seven Mile Bay at 10 am by Rev. Doug MacDonald. Con-celebrants were Rev. George Gilliland and Rev. Keith Kennific. The pall was placed by son, Basil and daughters, Ida, Jane and JoAnne. Cross bearer was Karen Noonan. Altar servers were Jessica Larsen and Claire Keough. Choir members were family members, Pamela Murphy, Rachel Cameron, Jennifer Chapman, Andrea Noonan, Stephanie Smith, Jacinta Keough, Maribeth Noonan and Anne Marie Muise. Organist was Rachael Cameron. The processional hymn was Here I Am Lord; offertory hymn, Hail Mary, Gentle Woman; communion hymn, Hosea (Come Back To Me) and Song of Farewell, Song Of The Angels. The responsorial psalm was rendered by Maribeth Noonan. The gospel was proclaimed by Rev. Keith Kennific who also delivered the homily. The gospel acclamation was given by Maribeth Noonan. The first reading from the Book of Wisdom was proclaimed by Andrew Noonan and the second reading from Thessalonians was proclaimed by Shane Hamill. Prayers of the Faithful was led by Amber (Noonan) MacLauchlan. Eucharistic ministers were Helena Hamill and Jennifer Chapman. Pall bearers were Liam Jay, Issac Jay, Ben Parker, Adam Sherry, Jordan Sherry and Jonathan Noonan. Flower bearers were Kerry Jay and Alicia Noonan. Flower bearers were Kerry Jay and Alicia Noonan. All attending were considered to be honorary pallbearers. The passing of the bulletins was done by Bethany MacDonald and Ellen Lawless. Attending Annie’s funeral were members of the CWL who formed an honor guard at the conclusion of the funeral liturgy. Interment was in the parish cemetery with Rev. Kennific. Prior to the visitation, CWL members said prayers in memory of their deceased member. Arrangements were entrusted to Lawless Funeral Home, Kinkora.
