Fundraiser

Cards/Cribbage/ Crokinole

The Seniors Active Living Centre, Bell Aliant Centre, UPEI, is having a Cribbage tournament Oct. 5. Registration begins at 9:15 a.m. with the games at 9:30 a.m. Admission is $5 for members and $6 for non-members. There will be a 50/50 draw and prizes for first, second and third. Partners are not required but are recommended.

Registration is at 12:45 p.m. with the tournament starting at 1 p.m. Admission is $5 for members and $6 for nonmembers. There will be a 50/50 draw as well as prizes for first, second and third. The Mayflower Seniors Club has bridge play Thursdays, 1:30 p.m., at the Robert L. Cotton Centre, Bunbury Road. All players are welcome. Call 902-569-1425.

Cash bingo is at the Montague Legion Br. 8, 15 Douses Rd., Thursdays, 7 p.m., with a 50/50 draw, a progressive jackpot, canteen service and complimentary tea and coffee.

Sociable Bridge

Cards, auction and 45s, are held at Stanhope Place on Thursdays at 7 p.m. Admission is $5. The hall is at 2784 Bay Shore Rd.

Crokinole is Thursdays at the Hunter River Lions Hall, 7:30 p.m., with eight games, prizes and lunch for $4. No partner is needed.

Stratford weekly Cribbage, sponsored by the Stratford Lions Club, is at the Cotton Centre, 57 Bunbury Rd., Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. Prizes are $100, $60 and $40. Admission: $6 per person; all are welcome. Proceeds go to Lions’ community projects. Call 902-5692409.

Rock and Talk Postnatal Group is offered by Family Place, 75 Central St., Summerside, Thursdays 9:30-11:30 a.m. until Dec 14. A group also meets at the Credit Union Place the last Thursday of the month to go swimming with baby (Diaper Fit). Good Neighbourly Club Fitness Program at Tracadie Community Centre is Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. for low impact fitness that uses body weights, dumb bells and exercise balls All fitness levels are welcome. Cost is $4, pay as you go.
