West Point Lighthouse in P.E.I. makes Google’s list of Canada’s spookiest landmarks

A Prince Edward Island landmark has made Google Street View’s list of the spookiest haunted places in Canada.

Just in time for Halloween – and Friday the 13th – Google Canada is celebrating the country’s haunted landmarks with a roundup of the 10 spookiest locations on Google Street View.

West Point Lighthouse made the cut at No. 7 on the countdown.

Canada’s first lighthouse inn, the popular tourist destination is “known to be haunted by its original keeper, William MacDonald, who is often seen roaming the halls of the inn,” says Google.

“Ablaze phantom ships have also been seen at a distance off the coast. Legend has it that one is a pirate ship whose sailors are fated to sail the seas forevermore.”
