West Point Lighthouse in P.E.I. makes Google’s list of Canada’s spookiest landmarks

A Prince Edward Island landmark has made Google Street View’s list of the spookiest haunted places in Canada.

Just in time for Halloween – and Friday the 13th – Google Canada is celebratin­g the country’s haunted landmarks with a roundup of the 10 spookiest locations on Google Street View.

West Point Lighthouse made the cut at No. 7 on the countdown.

Canada’s first lighthouse inn, the popular tourist destinatio­n is “known to be haunted by its original keeper, William MacDonald, who is often seen roaming the halls of the inn,” says Google.

“Ablaze phantom ships have also been seen at a distance off the coast. Legend has it that one is a pirate ship whose sailors are fated to sail the seas forevermor­e.”
