Cards/Cribbage/ Crokinole

Weekly Friday night card parties, sponsored by the O’Leary Seniors Sunshine Club, are at O’Leary Community Complex, O’Leary, 7 p.m. Admission is $3. Prizes will be awarded, and light refreshmen­ts are served.

Cards are at the Hunter River Community Centre, Fridays, 7:30 p.m. Admission is $3. Lunch is served.

Presentati­on

Financial Literacy Free expert advice about money matters will be presented as part of the monthly financial literacy session at the Confederat­ion Centre Public Library. On Oct. 21 2 p.m., the topic for the month is retirement and government plans. Call presenter, Anne Flynn at 902-4364569 to register.

Awareness

P.E.I. Life Chain, organized by the P.E.I. Right to Life Associatio­n and hosted by the UPEI Chaplaincy Centre is Oct. 22, beginning at 2 p.m. with a short prayer service. Participan­ts will be standing for Life along University Avenue for one hour and close with a small reception. Homemade compassion­ate signs are welcome.
