There are a couple of seats available for the beginner rug hooking class at Eptek Centre in Central Bedeque on Saturday, Oct. 21. There is no charge and all materials are provided. Cards/Cribbage/ Crokinole

Weekly Friday night card parties, sponsored by the O’Leary Seniors Sunshine Club, are at O’Leary Community Complex, O’Leary, 7 p.m. Admission is $3. Prizes will be awarded, and light refreshments are served.

Cards are at the Hunter River Community Centre, Fridays, 7:30 p.m. Admission is $3. Lunch is served.

Cards are Fridays, 7:30 p.m., at the Olde Dunstaffnage Community Centre.

Presentation

Financial Literacy Free expert advice about money matters will be presented as part of the monthly financial literacy session at the Confederation Centre Public Library. On Oct. 21 2 p.m., the topic for the month is retirement and government plans. Call presenter, Anne Flynn at 902-4364569 to register.

Awareness

P.E.I. Life Chain, organized by the P.E.I. Right to Life Association and hosted by the UPEI Chaplaincy Centre is Oct. 22, beginning at 2 p.m. with a short prayer service. Participants will be standing for Life along University Avenue for one hour and close with a small reception. Homemade compassionate signs are welcome.
