Saturday Night Jamboree is at the Linkletter Community Centre, 1670 Route 11, Linkletter, Oct. 21, 7 p.m., featuring Dunromin (Vans Bryant, Harold Noye, Marnie Noye, John Campbell, Jim Dickson) followed by an open mic segment with various singers, dancers, etc. Admission is $8 with lunch provided.

Reubens Jamboree will be at the Seaview Hall, Route 20, in Seaview on Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m. There will be a 50/50 draw. Admission is $5. All lunch brought will be shared.

Helping Hands Jamboree, with the Helping Hands Band and other performers, is at St. Anthony’s Hall, Route 2, Woodstock, Oct. 21, 7:30 p.m. Money raised supports local charities. Admission is by donation. Call 902-859-2394.

St. Paul’s Parish’s last ceilidh of the season is Oct. 22, 6:30 p.m., at St. Paul’s Parish Hall, Sturgeon, Route 17a, east of Montague, with Mick O’Connor, Allan MacDonald and company, Ralph Jenkins, Colton Matheson, Amanda MacLean, Kevin Jesso, Kenny MacKinnon, Jo Anne Ford, Mike Buell, Irving Hayter, Marie MacIntyre, the MacDonald Sisters (Doris and Marie), Garnet Buell and the Singing Islanders, Wayne MacLean and Urban Chaisson. Admission is $5. Tea and biscuits are served. Doors open at 6 p.m. A Christmas ceilidh will be held Dec. 3.

A ceilidh is at the York Community Centre on Oct. 22, 7 p.m., with the house band (Herb MacDougall, Joe Penney, Theo Wiegers, Janice Hebert, Bob Perry, David Moore) and guest performers Leo Gallant, Angela MacCormac, Lou Doiron, Joyce Arsenault, Buddy Longaphie and Tom Kickham. There will be a 50/50 draw and a door prize, and lunch will be served. Proceeds are for the Salvation Army. The centre is wheelchair accessible; doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Kitchen party is at St. Margaret’s Hall, 11397 Northside Rd., Sundays, 8 p.m., with old-time dance and waltz music by Rannie MacLellan, Kevin Chaisson and Urban MacAdam. There is also an open mike, door prizes, a 50/50 draw and lunch. Admission is $8. Call 902-687-2546.

Old Time Music Acoustic Jams are Wednesdays, 6:30-9 p.m., at the Murphy Community Centre, Richmond Street, Charlottet­own (not held on holidays and storm days).
