99. He was the loving father of Stanley

(Barb), Roseline Krempig (Gunter), Syl

(Jean), Mae

Affleck (Terry), Theodore (Phyllis), Aurella Perry, Una, Della Smith (Hayden), Eileen Ford (Glen), Norma Ford, Alfred (Shannon) and Rene (Shelley); and was grandfathe­r to numerous grandchild­ren and great-grandchild­ren. Alfred is also survived by his brothers, Urbain (Helen) and Melvin; sister, Denise Caissie; daughter-in-law, Roseanne Cormier; brother-in-law, Gaston Parent; and sisters-in-law, Ella Caissie, Rosie Arsenault, Rita Arsenault, Vina O’Shea (Henry) and Olive Caissie. He was predecease­d by his parents Joseph and Roseline (Gallant) Cormier; step-mother, Lena Gallant; sons, Ernest and Stephen Rene; sisters, Yvonne Decoffe (Clifford), Lucie Poirier (Martin), Clara Gallant (Eloi), Rosie Gaudet (Delor) and Leona Parent; brother, Arthur (Izella); sons-in-law, Frank Perry and Wayne Ford; brothers-in-law, Joseph Caissie, Ernest Caissie, Phil Arsenault, Armand Arsenault, Raymond Arsenault, Josie Caissie and Francis Caissie (Lorraine); and sister-in-law, Theresa McGregor (Bryce). Resting at Central Queen’s Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow. Funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Augustine’s Roman Catholic Church, South Rustico, on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in St. Augustine’s Cemetery.
